A ninth doctor at a rural medical center has died after falling from a roof on Thursday, according to the Oklahoma Department of Health.
Officials said Dr. David M. Williams, 52, died after he fell from a building near the Tulsa Regional Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Williams was an emergency physician who performed emergency care at the facility.
He was one of about a dozen doctors who worked at the clinic on Thursday afternoon.
The Tulsa World reported that Williams was at the building to examine a patient with a medical condition.
A spokesperson for the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office told The Associated Press that Williams fell from the second-story landing of the building.
Williams’ body was taken to a nearby hospital for an autopsy.
