Indian surgeon who posted online about being raped says he had no idea that he had to leave the country

An American doctor who was on his way to India when he was raped and killed by an acquaintance is suing the Indian government for defamation.

The American doctor, Dr. Keshav Prasad, died in the United States in April.

He was 31.

Prasad is suing Dr. Pranav Jha for defamation on Twitter.

The Indian government has denied that Prasads death was related to his alleged rape.

The hospital where he worked said he was shot twice, but did not release any details about the condition of his body.

Jha, an American citizen, is the son of Indian-American doctor and founder of the Center for Sexual and Gender Health in New York City.

He also serves as a professor at Columbia University.
