The Good Doctor is a podcast hosted by Dr. Phil.
The show has been in the works for more than a year, and now its finally ready to launch.
The podcast will be a standalone product, and the first episode will premiere in October.
Dr. Peter Sagal, the host, told Mashable that the podcast is an attempt to be a more personal approach to medicine.
“You’re going to find the doctors you want, the doctors that you care about, and that’s all we’re going for,” he said.
The Good Dr is about doctors in general, but it’s also about a specific group of doctors in particular.
Dr Sagal said the first two episodes will focus on Dr. Donald Fusco, the famed orthopedic surgeon who died in 2017 at age 87.
Fuscomos last show was a discussion about the relationship between medicine and politics, and Fuscox’s voice has been the subject of several viral memes.
Sagal says he had no idea Fuscoe would become a meme, and he had a difficult time finding the right audience.
“I knew it would be difficult,” he told Mashup.
“A lot of people are sick and tired of this kind of stuff and it’s kind of funny to see it’s the last thing people want to hear.”
The Good Docs mission, according to Sagal is to “discover the best doctors in your area and find out what they do that makes you feel good.”
That means “finding out what their ethics are and what their values are and how they’re going about doing their work.”
That’s what Sagal believes the Good Doctor will do, and it will help you “get a better feel for doctors and how doctors think about medicine and what they believe in.”
“They’ll bring you in for a chat,” Sagal told Mashport.
“If you look at a lot of things, there’s really a lot to the world,” he explained. “
“So you’re looking at things from a lot more than just medicine.” “

Sagal thinks the Good Doc will be an ideal place to find medical advice, since the hosts will be “the last people you want to have an opinion on.”
The podcast is set to premiere October 31 on Dr Phil.
