A show about the world’s biggest retailer is set to start at the India retail giant’s headquarters in Bengaluru.
The show, called Doctors, will focus on the medical field, and it will feature some of the biggest names in medicine including Dr. Seuss, the American author of The Lorax.
The doctors show is part of the India-based Wal-Mart India, which was established in 2010.
The Wal-mart brand has expanded to India over the past few years, opening stores in several cities in the country.
Wal-Marts first store opened in Delhi in January 2016, and the company has plans to open additional locations across the country over the next few years.
A Wal-Mars brand was announced last month.
Walmart India CEO Rajat Shah told The Wall Street Journal that the show will feature a range of guests including doctors, nurses, surgeons, and others who will be able to share their experience with the audience.
Doctors is the second series of Doctors.
WalMart India plans to begin offering the show later this month.
Doctors will be shown on all platforms, including on YouTube, WalMart TV, and on WalMart’s mobile apps, which are already available.
WalMarts chief financial officer Akshay Kulkarni said that WalMart and WalMart Entertainment will continue to work with the doctors and medical professionals to promote the brand, adding that the company would continue to invest in education and outreach.
The Doctors series is being funded by Wal-Martin, Wal-Men, WalMarks, and other partners.
The company has a presence in over 40 countries and serves over 8.5 billion customers annually.
