Doctor Mike Coyle’s move to Leeds is ‘highly unlikely’

Former Leeds United boss Mike Cuddyer has agreed to join the Premier League side.

The 61-year-old will have to meet the Premier Player and Women’s Super League club’s stringent criteria before he can be considered for a trial with the club.

Coyle has spent four years at Elland Road since moving to the Riverside Stadium in 2014.

He was promoted from the Championship and made a permanent return to the Premier league in 2016 and made his first appearance in the Premier women’s Super league last season.

The former England captain has made more than 30 appearances for the club and has won 10 caps for England.

However, the former England Under-21 captain is yet to make a competitive appearance for Leeds and has been linked with a move away from the Yorkshire club.

The club have made it clear they will not sell Coyle and are set to pay the £3.2m asking price.

Cuddyer will join the club on loan until the end of the season, having joined the club as a player in the summer of 2013.
