‘Witch Doctor’ song hits Top 40, Billboard chart with a new single

WASHINGTON — “Witch doctor” song “Black American Doctor” has climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 1.8 million equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music.

The single also has a record-high 13 million streams on Spotify.

The song debuted at No. 13 on the Hot 100 and reached No. 2 on the Alternative Songs chart, as well as the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.

It topped the Alternative Albums chart with 18,000 equivalent album sales.

The song reached the top 10 of the Alternative Song Sales chart for the first time this week.

The title of the song is a reference to the phrase “black doctor,” a term used by the black patients in the United States who suffer from mental illness, according a description on the song’s YouTube page.

The video for the song, shot by the actress Toni Collette, features an array of scenes from the Black American Doctor story, including the patient and the doctor.
